The Deming Center for Entrepreneurship in CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business is making resources available to help entrepreneurs and small businesses through the COVID-19 crisis.  They’re creating ways to support businesses by connecting them with mentors, providing insights from our faculty, and eventually through student support on projects.

COventure Forward - Small business owners and entrepreneurs can gain access to the collective strength and assets of Colorado-based universities, mentors and faculty to help them navigate the current business environment.  The goal is to provide quality guidance and education, to help move small businesses forward and come out the other side stronger both as individuals and members of our collective community. In addition to connecting small businesses with CU expertise, we know there is a wealth of expertise in the business community. Seasoned business owners, if you’ve led through an economic downturn, dealt with layoffs, secured government assistance, or just want to lend a hand however you can, please sign up to be added to the list of volunteer mentors.

Loan Guide for Small Business -The U.S. Chamber has created a guide to help small businesses, independent contractors, gig economy workers and other qualifying individuals prepare to file for a coronavirus relief loan under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security(CARES) Act. FEMA Public Assistance Funding - The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (CO DHSEM) is the Grant Administrator for FEMA Public Assistance (PA) funding for the State of Colorado.

This website will have the latest information about the federal CARES Act, the Economic Injury Disaster Loan, the Paycheck Protection Program, and unemployment benefits.

Please contact Laurie Jones at laurie.jones@eastcoloradosbdc.com for more information on federal loan assistance for small businesses.  The East Colorado SBDC is already helping clients by phone, email and using Google Hangouts so they can share documents, and when they can apply for the loan - she can also be on the same screen to help them with the sections they don't understand.
