The Overland Trail Museum

Documents the great westward migration and the Overland Trail Stage route (part of the Oregon Trail.)  Features a prairie village as one might find it at the turn of the last century, including barbershop, general store and church.  Also a feature at the museum, is the Dave Hamil / REA addition.  this newest building documents the changes brought to rural America by electricity.
Museum hours:
April 1 – October 31:  Monday – Saturday – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Sunday – 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. 
November 1 – March 3: Tuesday – Saturday – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Closed Sunday, Monday and Holidays.

A lovely hometown museum, with a twist.  after you wander through yesteryear, and enjoy how prairie life was captured at this little museum, you can stop next door at the cottage craft store, where local artisans and crafters create items the old-fashioned way to stock this little gift shop. 
Museum Hours:
Memorial Day - Labor Day:  Monday-Saturday, 9 AM - 4 PM; Sunday, 1 PM - 4 PM; Closed on Wednesdays!
Winter Hours:  By Appointment, please call!
