It will be a “Norman Rockwell Christmas” the year during Sterling’s annual Parade of Lights which will include floats, bands and so much more! Chili will be available at the Elks from 4-7 p.m. and you can bring the children to visit with Santa in the Gazebo immediately following the parade. Stores will also be open late to shop!!

This month’s History Café will take place on Wed., Nov. 29, at 10:30 a.m. in the High Plains Education Center. With Christmas just around the corner, our topic will be “A Victorian Christmas”. We will discover some charming Victorian customs, learn some interesting Victorian history, and make a distinctly “Victorian” Christmas ornament. Coffee, tea and muffins will be served. Tickets are still available for the library’s new holiday program, “Relax Your Way Through the Holiday.” Four special guests will share tips to make the holiday easier. Barb Lorenzo will have tips about tree decorating, Becky Davidson will provide tips about lowering stress levels, Julie Rhine will have tips about quick hairstyles, and Melanie Soper will have suggestions for easy center pieces. Several flavors of coffee or hot chocolate and a delicious dessert will be provided. This program is free, but tickets are required and are now available.. The $1 increase in ticket prices is to help our World Music class raise funds for the Light of Africa Model School in Uganda, Africa.
