Now, add a few historic buildings — including the Logan County Courthouse built in the early 1900’s. Then mix carolers on every block and the smell of roasting chestnuts in the air.

Garnish your Holiday Experience with festival of booths from crafters and home based businesses just across the courthouse square. On the Other side of the square, add Santa and Mrs. Claus sipping cocoa with their young fans!

To complete your experience, stand on the court house lawn at 5:30 PM, Listen to the choir sing, and watch as all of downtown lights up in the spirit of the holiday season, and have the kids visit Santa!

On Friday, November 23rd, 2007, join the entire Sterling community for a Home Town Holiday you expect to see on a Greeting Card!

Sterling Downtown merchants are ready to serve, with unique inventory and old fashioned service.

Caroling groups will be encouraged to roam the down-town area in the late afternoon and evening, providing sweet musical sounds, and while downtown restaurants will be serving up their fabulous regular fare, there will also be holiday delicacies – like hot grebble, roasted nuts, and spiced cider available on various street corners.

There will even be fantastic opportunities to win great prizes as you visit the entire downtown community- window shopping sponsored by the Sterling Journal-Advocate.

Don’t forget the concert on the Square at 5:30 PM, as carolers assemble on the Court House lawn to sing as the “switch is thrown” dazzling downtown Sterling and the Courthouse is the beauty of holiday illumination!
